Harry Potter's sixth year was marked by waiting, by worrying, and by bracing for an attack that never came. Occasional Death Eater sightings only added to the tension. Had Voldemort given up? Or was he summoning his strength for a new attack beyond anything he had attempted so far? Rumours spread of dark forces gathering, of strange wizards arriving in Hogsmeade, in Diagon Alley. The Ministry tightened its strict policies on halfbreeds and dark magic, while the Order worked to heal the rifts this caused. Everywhere tempers strained and bridges burned.

His seventh year was marked by vicious attacks. Werewolves attacked children, Dementors attacked muggles and wizards alike, and the Death Eaters moved in force - murdering Azkaban guards, Ministry workers, celebrities, and even their own brethren as Voldemort made his final moved to conquer the Wizarding World. And Harry Potter, The-Boy-Who-Lived, moved to stop him.

Darkening // Mods & Rules

Started May 1, 2005. Darkening is a long-running game that is exceedingly welcoming of new players and characters. In our game canon, Trio-aged students have just left Hogwarts, and the final battle between Harry and Voldemort has just happened, leaving the Wizarding world caught between celebration and worry over the future. We are making the transition from being a Seventh Year game into being a Post-Hogwarts game, and we'd love new characters and players to make this change more exciting and involving.
